Key Features

Autofluorescence (AF) – A fast, non-invasive method for evaluating retinal pigment epithelium function, including blue and green autofluorescence. Fluorescein angiography (FFA) allows detailed imaging of retinal blood vessels.
Ultra-widefield imaging – Captures images at a 135° angle and creates mosaics up to 240°, providing a panoramic view of the fundus. The confocal optical system enables effective imaging even through cataracts and other opacities.
Optical zoom – Allows rapid changes in the field of view (135°, 90°, 45°) without switching lenses.
Cell and blood flow analysis – Optional module for detailed assessment of cell count and blood flow.

The device is equipped with an intuitive joystick that allows for quick and precise image acquisition. Thanks to this, users can obtain high-quality images in a short amount of time, which streamlines the diagnostic process.

Availability of advanced technology for difficult cases

Thanks to its confocal optical system, Apollo enables penetration through ocular opacities, such as cataracts, allowing the acquisition of images suitable for evaluation even in difficult lighting conditions and with small pupils.

Confocal Laser Technology

Rapid Retinal Health Assessment at 135°

Autofluorescence is becoming increasingly popular as an easy and non-invasive imaging method, mapping the distribution of lipofuscin and monitoring retinal health, which allows for early detection of retinal pathologies.

This retinal camera enables the capture of high-quality autofluorescence images, either in a single shot with flash or in multiple overlaid images, by pressing and holding the joystick button. Image overlay occurs at a rate of approximately 5 images per 2 seconds, which improves the signal-to-noise ratio, resulting in a clearer and more informative image. The MICROCLEAR retinal camera captures detailed autofluorescence images at 135° as well as 240° in mosaic mode.

Full Fluorescein Angiography

The optional FFA module allows for capturing single 135° images as well as 240° mosaics, and an unlimited number of videos. The Apollo confocal ophthalmoscope provides the full flexibility you need for effective FFA (fluorescein angiography) examinations. The flash is configurable, and the joystick is precise and easy to operate, allowing for fast and accurate imaging. Thanks to the video recording function, it is possible to record an unlimited number of videos during a single session, each with a field of view up to 135°. Integrated zoom capabilities allow you to select the field of view, then image the areas of interest and capture detailed vessel images.
