How to communicate with dry eye patients?
To help you develop your dry eye business, Lumibird Medical has developed a complete kit of communication tools dedicated to patients, both in paper and digital versions.
We have created this kit is the result of a simple fact that dry eye is a new pathology that still too little known, for which patients need information.
They need dedicated materials to give them a clear understanding of the pathology and its causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options.
For you, as healthcare professionals, educational materials are also important to highlight this speciality when patients arrive in your waiting room and also to help you recruit new patients.
What materials are included in this patient communication kit?
Printed resources
To give you easy access to printed versions of our patient communication materials, each device in our ocular surface device, OMNICAD®, is supplied with a paper communication kit including :
- A set of leaflets and a leaflet holder to be made available to patients in your practice
- A poster to hang in your waiting room
- A set of DEQ-5 questionnaires to assess your patients’ symptoms. This questionnaire can be given to patients as soon as they arrive at the practice and can be completed in the waiting room
Digital resources
Because digital technology now plays an important role in the way we communicate, Lumibird Medical has developed a series of useful digital resources for your patients:
- A fun video to be broadcast in your waiting room to get your patients interested
- A comprehensive website for patients to give them detailed information on the disease. A “Find a specialist” section has been developed to identify ophthalmologists who propose dry eye consultations and have an OMNICAD® device. You will have the opportunity to enhance your online visibility by creating a personalised page including all the useful information about your work (your contact details, a description, illustrations and links to other websites).
